4 Tbsp olive oil
3-4 large cloves garlic, crushed
1 small onion, small dice
2 28 oz can crushed peeled tomatoes (I love Pastene brand!)
1/4-1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped
Sweat the garlic and onions in the olive oil with a pinch of salt until translucent and cooked through. Add the crushed tomatoes and allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes on low. Add the basil, stir, and give it 5 minutes to allow the basil to give up it's flavor. Add salt if needed. That's it! Done!
